I'm trying to find out the labour time for a timing belt change for a 2008 Focus 1.6 Ti-VCT.

Also is it recommended to do the water pump on these as a matter of course?

Car has only done 62K but it's over 8 years old now.

According to the Autodata manual that I have, it is 2.6 hours for a timing belt change.

Yep, always a good idea to change the water pump at the same time.

My Autodata says 2.9 hrs without A/C, 3 hrs with.

The water pump is driven by the aux belt, so if it's not leaking, don't bother doing it.

The cam and crank pulleys don't have keys, so you will need a locking tool kit to do the belt.

A lot of these have stretchy aux belts. I highly recommend replacing it as you've got it off.

I thought the diesels drive the water pump off the aux belt - on the petrol cars it's driven by the timing belt?

I'll get the pump and aux belt done at the same time.

So 3 to 3.5 hrs with a water pump change seems about right. Ford want £469. An Indy should come in under £300, a genuine belt kit and water pump is about £120.

Thanks.

They allow 1.7 hrs for the water pump

Hello everyone!
This is my first post on the forum, so I would like to salute you all. :)

Now, to expose my problem: my car is an Opel/ Vauxhall Corsa E, 2015, 1.4 gasoline engine, and 6 speed automatic transmission (not easytronic).
I want to check the ATF level in the gearbox. But this transmission has no dipstick, and there is a service procedure for that.

Somebody who has access to the AutoData software, please help me with the workshop procedure for that, more specific: I need the temperature that the ATF must have when checking the level.
I know overall the procedure, but I need that small yet very important information.

Thank you!
