Anyone with an 8800 and an X-Fi - in here please

Yeah its the exact same cards that had issues with the nforce4 chipset.

I had an X-fi fatality in here before and it worked perfect. The only 2 things to change are the X-Fi, which is now the Extreme Music and my GFX card which was a 7900GTO and is now an 8800GTS

Hi all, new to posting on this forum, but been visiting for over a year to view
problems and solutions.

I have switched to onboard sound for time being, as had similar problems with my new build.
Had mine work on and off for about 2 days.

Now x-fi won't even get detected at start up, moved to other pci slot and still nothing, it works fine in other pc's.

I am using 965P-DS3P v2.0 with 8800 gts, but i have 4 gigs of ram and read somewhere that the x-fi's don't like 4 gigs, can anyone confirm this?
i have tried xp64 & vista64.

I have not tried myself (yet) but some x-fi users claim that they have no problems if they install card & drivers after windows and all other drivers.

creative just don't seem interested judging by the posts on thier forums.

ive got an x-fi gamer with bfg8800gts 640mb ds3p rev 3.3 and 2 gig of ballistix ram adn its worked fine on xp and vista 32bit and 64bit
