Howdy!

If anyone here has mohawk/s, or spiked hair I guess, what hair product/s do you use to keep them up?

I keep mine short, so crappy wax from sainsbury's is enough at the mo, but when they were longer I used to have to use beeswax - I ended up cutting my hair shorter, as beeswax is a nightmare to get out :/

So, what do you use, and how rainproof is it?

Cement, once dry won't need to worry about it :D
Edit: Id need it if wanted to try for a mohawk, too much hair ;)

The gunk I use at the mo is pretty much PVA..

looks the same, smells the same, but sure costs a lot more :p

Don't punks use soap?

what, in general, or on their hair?

Using soap to keep hair up would be disastrous if it started to rain :p

*edit*

That Matrix Dirty Trix stuff looks good, will grab some from the bay later :)

If your hardcore use Soap, my dad was a Punk for around 14 years and that's what he used to use, and Crimpers.

the thing I don't like about the stuff I currently use is that it's naff at even the thought of rain - surely soap can't be any better during inclement weather?

theres a gel called Got2be Glued and its freakin strong!, its actually like pva in a tube. Its a white pastey texture. Its good stuff!

I had a mohawk for a good few months, was about 4"s tall.

Used Strong/stiff hold gel, generally VO5 stuff. Then would get ill in shape, hold in shape until started to get tacky. Reshape again. Then Hair spray it. Hair spray is a massive one imho get a decent brand. Also if ** hair isn't straight, straighten it, it makes it even easier.

Once wet it will go straight down.

But I think that's going to be a problem with most wax/gels.

Go for decent branded stuff like Matrix,Bedhead,D:fi, etc
Don't bother with supermarket stuff.

That's the stuff.. I couldn't think what it was called.

V05 Fibre Putty..

It works fine up until my hawks are ~3 inches, anything over that and they start to.. umm.. flop. Wonderful. :p

Cheers for the suggestions guys, think I'll buy a selection of new stuff, see which works best for me :)
