....are they as **** as they are for me?

Shoddy connection, rubbish ping, and customer services who dont know anything. I just need to establish if my poor internet is my BT exchange or my ISP, but they are refusing to investigate.
 
Seriously think about changing to another ISP. A few people I know have recently moved due to poor customer service.

Some things you could try to see where you are and where you should be.

Run the speedtest from http://www.speedtest.net/

Use the broadband checker to see what speeds you should get http://www.samknows.com/broadband/checker2.php

A little more info about your setup - PC, router, wired or wireless etc ???
