basically direct line screwed me over and cancelled my policy and wanted like £120 a month to insure a mondeo ST!

so i went and dont a thing on dont compare and signed up to one called swift cover they seem pretty cheap.

ive had mixed views though what do people think

I'm with them on the Golf, and they are by far the cheapest I could get. Haven't had to claim though, so can't say if they are 'good' or 'bad' in that respect.

Bear in mind that it is all online, they don't actually send any physical documents out, and as such you have to buy your car tax online.

I have always had good quotes from them, that have beaten most others.

I have used them for the last 4-5 years. Nothing bad to say about them.
Only 1 claim, for a windscreen, I paid the excess. They were very quick to provide details to get it sorted.

As always do make sure your mileage and details are correct etc when quoting for a decent comparison.

I've taken switfcover "home printed" insurance certificates to the post office a few times, I've had to tell them that swiftcover only provide electronic copies of the cert, but they've never refused to accept it.

I print the certificate and take it to the post office for tax, no problems there!

I tried that, my local office wouldn't accept the printout. Clearly a jobsworth behind the counter in that case

I'm with them this year, not had to claim yet so no idea on that side of things but everything has been great. They phoned my old insurer and got my proof of NCB cause I forgot, they texted me there number as a contact and changing my policy (adding private plate) was done in 2mins all online.

I've been with Post Office, Direct Line and Tesco (2x) in the past and not had any issues, but Swift Cover have been the easiest to use by far.

Swiftcover are fine.. had a claim with them about 2 years ago (£15,000 ). It went on a bit as the women i hit claimed for excessive compensation and it dragged on in court a bit but apart from that, they did their job.

Wouldnt hesitate at all in choosing them.

I'm with them too... by far the cheapest for me although it went up this year by 10+% on one of the cars.
only had to claim for windscreen and it was fine i.e never had to do any thing..

when ever I've had a problem I've used the email(there preferd method of communication) but I have spoken to them on the phone (english call centre)as well and all was well and sorted out quickly, and in my favour.

bullit

GF is with them, like everyone above have said, very good quotes. Never had to deal with them yet (*touches wood*), but on a price point they seem good.

How many no claims have you got? I am with privilege, 24, 5ncb, gf as named driver (22)and drive a modified mondeo ST24 which is parked in the street - pay somewhere in the region of £350 fully comp. Maybe give them a shout.

PO also accepted my Swiftcover certificate after some convincing. An advantage is that you can update some details within reason online and just reprint the paperwork at no admin cost.

Any recent reviews of Swift Cover? I just did a comparison on the Autotrader site and Swift Cover are like £100 cheapear than the next 10 who are all within £30 of each other. Looks too good to be true, strings etc?

No strings for me so far, 6 months into a policy. Didn't charge me to change my number plate and did it all online and straight away (no need to post out a new certificate as they update the one you have online so you can just print it out and drive).

Would go for them again certainly!

Second year with them. Everything's a dawdle. I also went abroad last year and added the over seas cover. click of a button and pay on a credit card. Job done

If you wish to cancel a policy early they wanted to charge my colleague a substancial fee IIRC That's the only poor thing I've heard. I wouldn't touch them thanks to the damned awful advertising but they're never competative for me anyway.

I don't mind the orginal Iggy Pop ones tbh, but they could do to lose the naff puppet in the recent ones. I guess they are gearing up for when Iggys contract runs out, i.e. permanent puppet replacement.
