anyone with swift cover?

Been with Swift cover two years now and never had any problems, print off my insurance certificate and there's no issues at the post office. Haven't been able to find a cheaper quote anywhere, granted I've never had to claim.

The only bad comment I would have is the bloody annoying skinny bloke in their telly advert

If you wish to cancel a policy early they wanted to charge my colleague a substancial fee IIRC That's the only poor thing I've heard. I wouldn't touch them thanks to the damned awful advertising but they're never competative for me anyway.

Unless there is a claim on or against the policy there's a £52.50 cancellation fee or a £28 admin fee in the first 14 days :)

We are primarily an internet based company so all documents are freely available to print off online via your SwiftSpace.

I have used them in the past without problem.

One thing I did notice is that you don't get any extra NCB if you claim for a windscreen during the year. This is not so much of an issue if you've already got 5 years, but it may be if you're trying to build it up.

Dont most insurers charge this sort of fee?

I was with admiral years ago for a crappy old rover SLI and decided I just didnt want a car. They charged me for cancelling

dirt cheap for me too, 29year old with 5 years ncb Ford Puma 1.7 is £230 and my pug 306 is £209 been with them for 1 year.

Previous to this Aviva charged me £450 for the pug on its own and thats with their 40% staff discount.

Yeah, just pointing out that unless there was a claim on the policy it wouldn't be a 'substantial' fee, but I suppose that's opinion.

Been with Swiftcover for a while now, Sub £200 for my e36 328i Fully Comp which I'm more than happy with, helpful when I have had to speak to them about a screwed up direct debit.

One of the few insurers who won't cancel your policy if a payment is missed, which can be quite handy!

My word I just entered my details into there 60 seconds quote thing and im shocked.

Churchil fully comp: £700 + £500 excess
Swiftcover: £494.91 (all inclusive option) £250 excess

That cant be right if so thats one hell of a saving sadly my insurance isnt up till febuary. Saying that they wouldnt insure me on the fiesta ST im looking at :P

Not really, if you are missing payments on your car insurance it might be time to consider whether a car is an affordable luxury :p

A car's not a luxury for some people. Plenty of people *need* a car. I've missed several payments this year because work aren't paying us on time, I've had to pay it up in full.

They can't afford it! I've been paid on time twice since I started in September last year. First of all they told me it was my fault because I didn't have a 'proper' bank account. I called them on their bull, they paid us on time briefly, now it's all gone to the wall again. Last month they insisted they paid us on time. And they did.

BY CHEQUE! On a bank holiday weekend! She refused to believe that that didn't count.

If I had somewhere else to go I wouldn't stay there another minute. I'm part time as well now because someone was stealing from the parent company so ALL the companies they run are basically ****ed. Interview on Wednesday, fingers crossed. Anyway I derail enough.

Back on topic:

VERY disappointed with Iggy Pop for this.

Read my post again, a problem with a direct debit was the reason, rather than simply cancelling the policy due to non payment, they contacted me, making me aware of the issue which ment I could get the issue sorted by my bank.

A car is hardly an affordable luxury, but its an essential one.

I'm insured with them, not problems and pretty cheap. I also went for an interview with them to help develop their backend systems for product expansion (unfortunately didn't get it as they are only 10 minutes from my house).

They are owned by AXA, so I wouldn't worry too much about their pedigree.

Hmm do they have a minimum age? Just got told I'm too young for a quote at 22, I'm nearly dead ffs

It's based on your vehicle and NCDs over age mainly. I'm with them at 21 on a Y reg Ibiza, but they won't offer me cover on many higher BHP vehicles.
