Anyone work for RoyalMail?

My Parcel has gone missing as seller put wrong name and address on it. Seller has vanished. RoyalMail KNOW who they delivered to (name and address) and its 200 miles from me but they won't tell me details

I'd rather NOT lose the money, so does anyone know any "ways" to extract the name/address from the international tracking code?

You're knackered because the contract is between the seller and Royal Mail, not you. They're very unlikely to tell you where it's been delivered, because privacy etc.

Did you buy via credit card? If so, claiming through there is probably the best bet.

Royal mail delivered as instructed, they're not going to give you anything and quite rightly.
"Excuse me I've got a random tracking number that you delivered completely correctly as per the name and address but can you tell me exactly what those details were" sounds a bit suspect.

Has it been snowing? Maybe that's the reason it wasn't delivery.

More likely he's scammed you and didn't send anything at all

Surely that's an effective scam technique? They post it to an address that's theirs or a relative or something, that allows them to provide tracking details and slow down the selling website investigation as they can prove they posted it. In the meantime they do a runner.

If it's a scam, they they've definitely done something illegal, that's not in question. Whether the police care is another matter. They tend not to have much interest in these matters and the best you can do is get a crime number for insurance/CC or whatever.
