Anything else like Insurgency mods style of play???

Hi peeps.

I tried inusrgency mod when it was released, but didnt really understand what was going on at the time, I didn't really give it time as I was still in "must be worlds best at CSS mode".

Anyway, Downloaded insurgency this weekend, must say it is excellent! I'm hooked!

To my question ....

What other mods/full games are like it? Project reality is downloading now but what else is there?

I would try America's Army but the thought of having to pass a 3 hour medical exam to play a game kinda is to much for me atm

You don't need to pass a 3 hour medical exam to play AA.

At most, you just need to shoot a few targets (15 mins) and move around some obstacles (2 mins)

The medical exam is only to be able to hand out med kits (and even then you only get 3 and everyone screams if you don't heal them). Plus all the answers are probably on the internet anyway.

One of the most realistic shooters, and its absolutely free! Its just a pity that its turned into a sort of CSS, where each round is pretty much EXACTLY the same as the next with regards to player movements and routes.

ok i'll give AA another go, downloading PR mod for bf2.

So is them 3 it? Theres nothing else abit more realistic out there?

Although it's getting on a bit, it's well worth giving Infiltration for UT a go. Dslyecxi has written a nice article covering most of its features.

is it realistic war type stuff? i've played operation flashpoint which is quite similar i think? armed assault is a realistic war sim, there are new versions of both of these (i think) coming out shortly.

A.A is a good game been playing it for years, you can even play against server bots in co-op mode. just get to 15 honour, pass E&E do the jump and you can select the special forces option. go to sniper school if you want to select sniper class.
like I said I have been playing AA for years and still like it, I did exactly what you did played insurgency when it first came out and have not been back will try to take another look at it.
please note that there will be a new version of AA due to come out next year it will have a new engine and everyone will have to begin their training all other again
