I am about to build a new rig. This is what it will consist of:

Intel Core 2 DUO E6600 "LGA775 Conroe" 2.40GHz retail/OEM
Gigabyte GA_965P_DS3 (Socket 775) PCI-Express DDR2 Motherboard
GeIL 2GB (2x1GB) PC6400C4 800MHz Ultra Low Latency DDR2 Dual Channel Kit
Western Digital Caviar RE 160GB 1600YS SATA-II 16MB Cache - OEM
EVGA GeForce 7600 GS 512MB DDR2 HDTV-Out/DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail

I am looking to overclock to 3.0GHz+, so will the stock fan be ok, or should I get the OEM version and a seperate CPU cooler, and if so, which one?
I should also mention this will be housed in my current Antec P180, with an Antec 550watt PSU. Any problems with this setup? Suggestions would be gratefully received, thanks :)

nope, no problems at all, but since your spending quite a bit on the CPU and ram, why not go for a better graphics card? or going for a E6300 and overclocking it to over 3ghz (can easily be done) and putting the money towards a better card, well it depends what your using it for.

Keep with the arctic freezer 7, people have got excellent results with that. And it's dirt cheap too.

I agree, I think save money on an E6300 and get a better GFX card.

Thanks everyone for the help. Have ordered the above with a NVIDIA 7900 card instead :) Does anyone have tips for cabling it in an antec p180?

Time and patience , lay all the cables out before affixing them permenantly and leave some cables "easily accessible" for when you install new drives // peripherals. :)
