Hey guys,
Long story short - I had water cooling, obviously had a few more volts going through the NB on my 680i but the water cooling could keep that cool. I swapped out the water cooling to go back to stock cooling - forgot to adjust voltage / overclock in the BIOS - whacked passive cooler onto the NB - powered the board up for 30 seconds and fried the NB chip.
Can this be fixed or should I use the board as a doormat?
I have no warranty.
