Anyway to test a psu?

I have a friends pc that powers up fine, everything on the desktop is fine but it is freezing after a couple of minutes of gameplay. Individual components seem fine and can last for ages on stress testing but fire up a game and it fails after about 10 minutes.

A) Could a dodgy psu be the cause of this?

B) Would there be anyway to test this?

i'd say it sounds more along the lines of a driver issue or a gpu issue, if the gpu has both 2D and 3D elements it is possible the gpu isn't processing the 3D element enough,

I hate to ask but are you sure the system has all the necessary requirements to play the selected game in which it freezes on?
