Anyway to transfer points on microsoft?

Ive just sold my 360, but ive got about 2500 points and about 30 bought games there, as well as 9 months live left.

If there any way to transfer them to someone as a gift (the points mainly), obviously someone could take over the account and then just change the name, so thats a possibility.

More to the point, if i was to give this away, would anyone want it with my exisiting gamer points on it? Im still undecided on whether to completely break the ties and use my ps3 but im moving and really dont play anything other than fifa these days on consoles.
 
AFAIK, points are non-transferable and non-refundable. TBH, I'd leave it. Points you've bought don't expire so they should be there in the future if you ever go back to Xbox. I would think they would carry forward to Xbox Next's Marketplace, too.
 
You could hand over your existing password to the new owner. They can change the username but it costs 800 (?) points to do so.

Load your account on a mates console and buy some content with the points.
Content is tied to your account and the console it's bought on so your mate could play it on and off line. Obviously if he ever changed console he'd lose his ability to play it but hopefully this wouldn't be too soon.
 
Nah, still in paisley, hopefully will decide today which house we are going for, narrowed it down to 3 :)

Do you want any speakers Windle? I was up in my loft preparing for the clearout, ive got 2 conical rear surround, a centre and two fronts that i have no use for.

The centre speaker is kenwood i think, the fronts are wharfdales (i think) and the rears are some other half decent make. If you want to pop up at some point this month you can see them, ive also got boxes of old stuff that will be cleared out, an original ps1 and stuff like that that wont be making the move

To be honest i probably wont, im getting rid of my flashed console, and when i move and settle in, ill probably buy a new 360 if space allows, all i play really is Fifa though, which of course i can play on the PS3, im back into my pc gaming again so the consoles are not really getting any play at all.

A new house is a new excuse for a new tv though, so ill probably want to try it out with something :P
 
Make sure you hurry back Mark! :)

Just bare in mind, if you do give the new owner your details, your credit card is tied to the account.... Food for thought.
