So, I just sold my GTX 760 today, and the cable I used for my screen input was directly into the GPU.

I can't see any other way to connect to my monitor without a gpu, there was one other cable included, which was usb that I plugged in, but no display.

Or do i need to get a converter of some sort?

You will need a separate GPU like you had unless your motherboard has a built GPU.

What motherboard model do you have ?

USB will not display anything its for data transfer only:)

Just noticed its a AOC G-SYNC monitor you have so in that case you would need a display port output on your motherboard.

Im pretty sure it does, I ran it without a GPU before, but my old monitor has a different output cable, but the g-sync monitor doesnt take the old cable..so I guess ill bring it down from the attic

Unfortunately there is no Display port output on that motherboard and the AOC G-SYNC monitor will only work with a display port connector :)

You will need to buy a new GPU why did you sell the GTX760 in the first place ?

Just wanted to get rid of it ASAP, will get a 980 in 2 weeks, Ill just use my old monitor until then haha

Went back to my old monitor, size and resolution will take a while to get used to again..tried looking for display to male HDmi converter..but cant find meh

Display port to hdmi wont work with a gsync monitor anyway, it needs to be display port on both ends (display port on the PC end will support a hdmi monitor but not the other way round usually)
