AOC Q3279VWF - FreeSync,VA,qHD 31.5 inch monitor for £249! (ONLY £199 AT OcUK FOR BLACK FRIDAY)!!

Whoa, 32" and PIVOTABLE? :D
(unless hexus talks about pivot as something that turns from left to right, whereas I'm talking about landscape vs. portrait -- actually, I'm pretty sure their 90 degree pivot is either simply wrong, or at least not talking about the portrait-possibility)

Anyway, while it's indeed 1440p and FreeSync, the range is actually only 48-75Hz. Without FreeSync, it's limited to only 60Hz. So that kind of explains the price. If it were 144Hz, it would be quite a bit more interesting offering. Heck, if it at least were 30-75Hz with LFC, it would be fairly interesting.

As for color depth:
Well, it does indeed have a colour depth of 8bit+FRC, which would nudge this slightly towards graphic professionals. But I wouldn't put AOC as the top quality brand, so I'd recommend waiting for reviews, first.

Buuuut, if this stays under 300€ (not £), I might ask our IT dep to purchase one for testing. (though personally would prefer 1080p, but I know I'm in the minority)

I'm a little more interested in the pro rated one they have announced, from reading your link......

for around £340 it is up there with the BenQ PD2700Q, and BenQ monitor are pretty damn good, build wise. My 27" BenQ 16:9 IPS designer monitor is excellent with build quality and no bleed or any IPS glow that I can see.

The BenQ.....

Looks very interesting for sub £250. If AOC are on the ball with the QC this could be a decent alternative to the HP OMEN 32.
