AoE3 Problem.

Hi Guys

Just got a new game, Age Of Empiers 3.

However when I turn shadow qualtiy to very high, the game and game menu lag/jerk big time.

Any ideas for this? my system plays STALKER at all settings, so AOE3 should have no problems?

Specs:

E4400 @ 2.8Ghz
8800GTS XFX
2GB DDR2 Memory

Drivers: 163's.

I had this problem too. Was surpirsed as the graphics arent even that impressive. I just turned shadows off and it was ok.

Ja, if I turn the shadows off, all is okay. I'm downloading the patch now to see if it corrects the problem. My old X1950Pro AGP Handeld this game with shadows, just fine. So, see no reason why this 8800GTS would not be good enough to have it on...

Hmm, very strange problem. Hope the patch sorts it. I can have it running at max detail with the spec in sig. Slows down a bit when many units are on the screen, and also when in game, if i go to the Cards menu, the ppl walking around in the background are very slow but the actual gameplay is fine.
