hi i got my new pc a few days ago adn when playing battlefield 1 my gpu temps hit 84 degrees on stock fan settings, is this normal? as it seems to bee heating up my case as well, with my fans at 100% the temps go down to 66/67 degrees and cpu at under 40 degrees - im running bf1 at 4k, 120fps ultra, is there a better way to cool this down other than going 100% fans or are these normal temperatures?
only thing i can think of it taking the side panel off

the cards default gaming mode has the fans set to 50% at 75 degrees, should i just boost my fans up to 100% during gaming sessions? or just leave it at the 84 degrees?

noise doesnt bother me as im using studio style headphones so i cant hear anything, currently i have my fans at 90% and the gpu is at 57 degrees during bf1 4k ultra, the case from what i can tell has the cpu watercooler fans pulling air in goes over the top of the card and 1 fan that pulls the air out the back

ok so 3 reviews show that on the default fan settings the card is 75ish degrees at 50% fan speed - underload , on top of that in my room currently its close to 26 degrees due to the summer

ok most of them seem to be 46°C idle and 71°C under load - all these are on 1920x1080, will running in 4k increase the temp if so that, plus the room heat is probably why it creeps to 79/80

sorry im really new to pc stuff, so is that 80ish degrees on the default fan curve normal for those settings? and is there any harm in increasing my fan speed (during gaming only 3/4 hours a day) to keep the temp at 60? as on those bf1 settings i can keep my card at a solid 60 degrees using 85-90% fan speed - noise doesnt bother me - my idle temps are lower than the cards reviews so im guessing the load temps are due to a combo of the graphic settings and weather?

This is the case and air flow, the two fans which are connected to the cpu cooler pull air in from the front facing vent, it goes over the copper plate of the card and has the single fan venting air from the back vent, however I have noticed the fans are quite slow and they stay the same speed even under load - the gpu fans face down

i have the same card, default fan profile 78C at 1911Mhz fan speed is 50%. and both my case fans run at a mere 300RPM! in slient case
with the GPU fan at 65% im seeing 70C in this crazy heat of summer in BF1

I would say your problem is your case will have Negative pressure. or terrible airflow.
if you CPU fans are exhuasting hot air, reduce their speed & increase the Front intake fan speed up So you get postive fresh air to the GPU

What case do you have?
https://imgur.com/gallery/BIyjK hopefully shows the air flow, and my case is KK Kolink Vault Midi Tower Gaming Case - Black/Green LED, my exhaust fan does blow out warm air, I don't know how to increase my intake fans as they are the ones connected to the cpu water cooler

Aio = liquid cooler (your cpu cooler)
1) move your AIO to the top of your case (if possible)
OR
2) increase your AIO Fan speed
so if your CPU reaches 40C in game. @ 40C increase your aio fan curve by 25%
then the rear fan reduce it by 10% fan speed

this will give you more positive pressure and reduce temps.
you will still however be pushing hot CPU air onto a GPU.
Ok thanks, I think I'll have to increase the aio fan speed, what software do I need for this? As my gpu came with some so I can it's fans, I can't really do much about the cpu heat on the gpu can I?

you should be able to do it in the BIOS. 7
the only fan i can seem to alter in bios is the cpu fan, i have a fan on my case for exhaust and the two for the aio cooler, i put my cpu at 40C - 60%, fan dont seem to spin any faster so is there some software that can do the same similar to MSI?

ok so i downloaded something call corsair link which doesnt allow me to set curves but it has 3 settings quiet, balanced and performance, putting it to performance i my gpu sits at 65-68 and thats using the gpu's standard fan speeds, however my AIO cooler fan speeds are put up to 1800rpm and the pump is at 2800rpm how bad is this as it sounds a lot, is it safe to have it on this setting for a few hours a day? - before touching the speeds the rpm of the pump was 900 and cpu fan was 0

and now using this performance setting my cpu temps go between 30-40 (90%) of the time and then when a lot of stuff is going on 53 max

Ahhh now I see why your GPU was getting so hot lol

the rule I stick to is...cool air in the front..and hot air out the top and back :)

well thanks to corsiar link i have an absurd amount of cold air coming, infact so much im concerned about that now xD - is 2800rpm for the water pump and 1800rpm for the cpu fan ok? as this is what the performance (gaming) mode is, the water cooler is the h100iv2

basically if i use this performance mode, and a slight increase of the gpu fan i can keep my gpu at 60 degrees during battlefield 1, 120fps, ultra, 4k 60 mhz, but im not sure if this performance mode is good to use

my idle temps are pretty great by default, the gpu is at 28 degrees (reference is 39/40) and all cores are between 13-15 degrees

ah fair enough, it seems as though my bios pretty much turns off my watercooler, probably why everything got so hot, judging by what im reading it should be as high as 2000rpm for pump and fans instead of my low settings

Quote "New poster on here as I just built my first computer - wanted to ask a couple questions about my new H100i v2 as I've read their expected pump RPM is around 2800 and the fans are supposed to be loud.

I have the opposite problem - Corsair Link 4 is showing an RPM speed of around 1200 and a single fan speed of around 650.

First, is it normal to only have one fan speed in Corsair Link for the H100i v2?

Second, what is the reason that my pump and fan speeds would be so low compared to what I hear is normal? Most people say the pump and fans are super loud - but I can hardly hear them. I have a Corsair ML 120 fan on the back of my case and it is much louder than the pump's fans."

i kind of think this issue should be mentioned somewhere as this could have lead to damages to my pc, as i new user i'd never of guessed or even thought the bios would pretty much turn the cooler off, at least i know the 2800 rpm is normal and the loud fan sound is too but hey id rather have a loud sound and my gpu at 50ish degrees at max load! (extremely loud but thats what headphones are for and hey if its loud you know its working) :) i can now relax with a super chilled pc and its cooling my room down to, just measured again with HWiNFO64 and under the full load the card only hits 55degrees and this in summer too - one question id assume you may know do i keep my cpu pump and fan at 2800 24/7 or turn it on when needed?
