Aorus RX 500 in the wild

Thinking of replacing my 1070 GTX to help fund the R5 system, but thinking that a RX 580 would be a really silly move (4.3 7850k + 1070 GTX VS R5 1600 + RX 580).

Actually.... on balance it's a bit odd but your 7850k will be bottlenecking the 1070 pretty hard I'd imagine so yes moving to a 580 you'd lose on the max fps, but switching from a 7850k to a R5 1600 you probably gain on the minimums so all in all may be worth it.

It's still odd... but if you cant keep the 1070 and get the R5 then 'maybe'....

Yeah, I know the 7850k is probably holding the 1070 back in some regard. It still plays everything very very well though, but I mainly want video editing to be better if possible. I only care about average/mode and minimum.

If the 580 can do 1500 easy I will be tempted.

In some regards? The 7850k is weak as hell even compared to a 2011 2500K.

Ridiculous. WTF are they thinking. At least make it a 'Ti' version with extra trinkets added to it to make it perform better. D'oh! What a rebrand fail. AGAIN.

so far seems the Aorus Extreme is only hard with 8+6 Pin, prob explain it having the 1060 cooling solution which has been dropped from the 1060 - never needed it in the first place.

hoping this could be like the Ti were pumping power and Phases into it should get the bigger OC
