Hi
I have a x570 aorus elite board, it was working great until a pipe burst and it got ever so slightly wet. I took the pc apart and dried it out. Now when I plug it in the board flashes a white light once but doesn't post. Psu seems to be OK as powers other system I have. The only wet piece of board I really had was around the 12v connector but even then it was only a few drops.

Is the board bust? Or have i missed something. About to pull it apart again the do a full rebuild including reseating cpu.

Thanks mark

Does sound like the motherboard has failed but pull it out rebuild useing minimal components to see if it boots.

Still worth checking the obvious like bent pins on the cpu if you took it out the board.

That board has a bios flashback that can be run with no CPU installed, if I were you i would see if I could get it to do the bios flashback (safer for your CPU to be far away from this board at the moment!) If it can't even do that then it's definitely kaput! The guide is on the MSI manual for this, it's basically put a USB stick in a particular slot at the back with the bios on renamed to something or other and then hold the flashback button.

Yeah think that might be the issue but will try both, bios reflash and cpu reseating

Update.. it works and I have no idea why.. didn't touch or move anything.. all I need to do after testing was remove a rgb hub and 2 fans as noisy. Thank god
