Have just fitted a 2nd Apache, has any one else noticed their Apache Fan Speed has increased to 1400, when using a Akasa AK-CB002 PWM Fan Splitter Cable.

Normally fans can operate at 10%+ over their rated speeds so that's why the Apache is operating at 1400rpm. The same happens with my Noctus.

Its the same with my sharkoon silent eagle se pwm fans, also ran via a pwm adapter, rated at 400-1200 rpm but ive often seen them displayed as running at 1250.

I've just installed two of these, also with the splitter. They're functioning ok, but dont seem to be recognized in the bios or Hardware monitor. (thus no idea what speed they're running at).

I tried setting Smart fancontrol to both auto and pwm, it doesnt make a difference. Using a Gigabyte EX58-UD3R mobo.

Any ideas?

Thx
