OMG ITS LIKE CHRISTMAS ALL OVER AGAIN !!

ALL 3 Parcels turned up at the same time !!!

And 2 packs of Haribo !! GET IN MY SON

il post a few more pics of the build later

Great stuff markk33nan, that's a whopper of an order. :D
Post a pic of the finished build?

Will do. i seen some cracking shots int the water cooling section of photography. ive a Canon 650D with a bunch of lenses. il do my best to take some interesting shots.

Boss is also letting me out of work at 4pm today :)

I also had to drive over to ASDA to get a bite to eat at 12 and i was, crapping myself that someone was gona break into the car with all the equipment sitting in the boot. so i ran in grabbed a ready made sandwich, bolted through the Quick pay and got back into the car.

Got the computer set up last night. with new monitor etc.
words cant describe how better it is.

I ran into a problem tho, after installing windows 7 and graphic drivers and mobo drivers. I tried to run the Windows Experience Rating. the computer crashed during it. i thought thats strange, il finish making sure the drivers are up to date. ran again and another crash then starting to install Steam and Avast Free antivirus and it crashed and crashed again.

I only have the stock intel cooler in place, so im guess its overheating.

i see the new Hydro H110i GT is now in stock so i think il pick one up. i tried to measure if it will fit and i cant say for sure, will probably be a tight squeeze so some modification to the case may need done.

i think my idle temps in the bios was about 46 / 47 degrees. so any sort of load on it it must have shot up.

i might try and fit my Zalman cooler and see if its compatible with the 1150 socket. until the hydro comes in the post.

i also have to add that even tho im impressed with everything the back rubber feat on the bottom of the 500r case have came off poor quality stuck on. disappointing little flaw.

One thing you should do is get the latest BIOS on the board (use Qflash to do this within the BIOS), the early BIOSes used too much Vcore at stock.

yea i think the mobo Rev is Rev. 1.0

was up untill 4am sorting it out, and visited my dad as its his 60th. should hopefully get a chance later to tinker about on it.

Indeed, you have a physical switch on the board to flip between the two BIOS chips, so you cant possibly kill the board.

Attempted to fit the Zalman cooler this morning but it does not fit :(
Which is very misleading as it states on the zalman website that it should.

Its a shame as i wont be able to use the computer until about Wednesday untill the hydro cooler comes.

Gona tidy up the mess i made and take some photos.

Late on Sunday, i updated the Bios to the latest version.

i also disconnected one of the graphics cards and removed the SLI Bridge so make it a single 980 card.

Re-seated the Stock cooler with the MX4 Thermal paste.

managed to stay in windows without powering off.

was able to download RealTemp and was getting readings from between 30c / 75c depending on if i was sitting idle in windows or if i was on the internet and downloading programs or downloading games in steam.

i haven't got a chance to actually play anything yet. and im afraid to do so without the new cooler. The computer is working, but its just not right.

i probably didnt set up SLI correctly yet either.

So temps in BIOS are? as a few posts up you said it was 46/47, hopefully its dropped with the newer BIOS.

This is running with the 980 SLI on the Stock Intel Cooler.

1. Sitting in Windows
2. Downloading games on steam
3. loaded up Dying light / Dota 2 / LA Noir

Below is the results

*EDIT - thats strange the max temps was close to 90c after doing the above, perhaps i took this photo before loading up the games.
