Having a little trouble filling in a certain question on an application form. The answer could possibly be extremely simple, but I still have no idea what to write.

The question is:
Write about a specific time when you had difficulty in getting along with people at work/school and how you handled the situation.

Anyone filled in a similar question?

Also, when stating why you would like to join the company, should you base your answer specifically on their company, or on the industry?

Ta :)

I would be tempted to make up a story about a school teacher taking an irrational dislike to me. I kept my head down, doing all the work expected of me and more, so that if I was picked on again I could prevent any further problems.

invent the perfect answer to there question.everybody lies on there cv.I once went for a interview for a bakers job some of them peeps should have worked for nasa.

I still have no idea what to write for this question  It seems to be the simplest ones I get stuck at. I just can't think, or made up a scenario.
Anyone got any examples of situations I could make up/write about?

Problem > deduction > solution is probably what they want to see.

They would be after someone who has good conflict resolution skills, which would be demonstrated by a long explanation of how you came to understand the situation and how effective your solution was.

Thanks. The main problem still remains though....writting about a decent, yet believable scenario. I have no ideas that would suit the question, without over exaggerating.

I feel that a story similar to the one Masslac posted, could possibly be too childish, and wouldn't set me above the rest.
