Is there any reason why OCUK have such a terrible range of AM2+ mobos? Im trying to find a decent 790FX or 790GX AM2+ mobo and I have what 5 mobos to choose from in total? And no 790FX at all.
I was hugely surprised by this as well. OcUK are one of 3 etailers I tend to track, the second had 47 AM2+ boards, the third had 60. I guess Overclockers have decided the futures bright, the futures Intel...
The Micro ATX range is very poor, they are OK on mid range AM2+ and mid-high AM3. They have obviously decided anyone interested in high end is going AM3 (kind of reasonable), that no-one wants good Micro ATX boards (very strange, considering AMD's strong presence in this area).
I agree, there is overall a poor selection.
Well I would say that if they stocked a nice selection of products that catered towards everyones tastes their stock room would be the size of Staffordshire
Either that or they choose items they feel will sell well or have a better profit margin etc!
If you would like to see certain products in stock then make a post in the OcUK New Product Suggestions, failing that gOOgle is your friend
Seems to be if you dont want a x58 you have to look around, AM2,P45,Micro Atx are all poor for choice, thought moving to a larger building would help with stock
Just looks like they are clearing out old ranges before the next technology wave. You dont want to be caught with your pants down carrying half a warehouse full of old tech p45 and AM2 £80 boards come October.
