I've been looking at the 24" Dell U2410 but i've realised the Apple 24" Cinema display might not be a lot more as my wife is a student and can get a discount (how much i'm not sure but might bring it to £50 more than the U2410 at a guess?).

I noticed my new Overclockers supplied Titan Goliath has a Displayport from the Sapphire ATI 5870 to it should hook up ok.....

OK so question time.... :D
I assume Displayport is same/similar to DVI...plug and play?
The Apple Cinema display has a 2.1 speaker setup which i would want to use, how would I hook up my 3.5mm audio output from my onboard sound to it as it doesnt state it has a 3.5mm audio input on the display?

Really nice monitor, only problem is it does not mix well with anything other than a mac.

I've researched this option before and don't believe anything has changed so to summarise:

Mini Display (Female) to Display Port (Male) Cable required.
Only comfirmed to work with ATI 4870 and 5970 series cards. (58xx series does not work )
Sound is past via the USB attached cable along with mic and camera, this does apparently work with the correct drivers ripped from bootcamp (Not sure on W7).
Cables are very short (Monitors designed to work with laptops really)

To much hassle. :D

Yes scratch that then!

U2410, the HP 24", wait for the new 27" Dell or buy the 23" NEC but thats only 1080 so puts me off going smaller diagonal and res (i have a 2407WFP).

InQ you could always check out the new NEC PA241W coming out in the next month or so, Im hanging on for that or the new HP ZR24W.

I will, any ideas on if O/C's will be stocking and how much do you think they will be priced at?
