Hello

I'm looking to buy the ACD LED for my uMB.

Anyone bought one recently, any dead pixels or issues?

If it does have dead pixels can I return it I'm buying it online from the Apple Store

I've got one. Brilliant monitor if a little on the pricey side. Very bright - makes every other display I use look dull. No other issues or dead pixels though. :)

Can you do me a big favour please and measure the length of the cable from the back of the monitor as I need to have the MB in the cupboard below.

That's a bit tricky - it's hidden away with a shed load of other cables. It's not very long though, somewhere in the region of 1m to 1.5m long.

You mean the one with no numerical pad? :(

The Apple Cinema Display plugs in to a external power brick, so in theory the cable length is longer, as it goes monitor > brick > mains.

You should be fine for around up to 2.5m.
 
I don't really use the numerical pad much, took me a while to decide though I love the form factor. I've already got a V470 Cordless Laser Mouse, was thinking about maybe going one better, any recommendations?

Err mine doesn't. Straight from the back of the display to the socket, 3 pin 'kettle' lead.
