Apple Music pricing

Looks like the trial is only allowed once per device. I signed in with a new Apple ID and got charged £9.99 for the privilege. *****.

i accidentally did this, signed up with my main iTunes account which is an old gmail account, but realised I was family sharing with my me.com ID, so I just emailed them and they refunded it. Very easy and sorted without stress.

Thanks. I did get an email from them when I said about not getting a free trial on a second ID and the man did say I *may* be offered a refund. I'm still waiting to hear back.

From what I can gather, some tracks are greyed out due to licensing, some are simply withheld at the labels request and others are due to explicit lyrics.

Is there a limit on the amount of tracks you can make available offline?

My dads downloaded a load of music from it but all of a sudden, now every time he tries, it doesn't let him. I can't see any mention of a limit either

i tried the family option, and linked to my wifes phone, but when she access apple music it still asked her to pick a subscription option. had anyone got this to work properly?

Playing with the free trial atm and quite like it.

One thing worth noting is that, because it integrates properly into the music system on the phone, any peripheral which sees the phone as an iPod should see anything you've added to My Music.

In my case it's the car - I can navigate the phone via the car's interface and play anything I've added to My Music as if it were on the phone, even though in actuality it's streaming. Spotify et al can't do this because they're non-native apps.

I have Spotify with my phone contract until next October so just cannot justify this. Suppose the bugs will be all ironed out by then mind. Lots of complaints of it eating battery and losing playlists.

Here's a question I can't work out*. I share a single account with my daughter - hell, I trust her, it happens - why would I need the family subscription? We have maybe 4 devices between us that we use, and I *think* you can use up to 5.

Any ideas before I hit the button on the family subscription?

*Haven't really tried.

Sorry, as a general point, I'm loving it far more than I ever did my spotify subscription. Even in the couple of weeks I've actively been looking at it I'm listening to people and stuff I'd not heard of before, happy with that.

Sure it's down to your usage patterns though, never really spent the time with Spotify, but Apple Music caught my interest so spent some time playing with it.

Apparently it's limited to only play on one device at a time similar to Spotify. So if you both try to play a track at the same moment (and are both connected to the internet at that time) one should stop.

Not been the case in my experience

Just tried it - on my phone, iPad and laptop...all works at the same time.

As a side note I see Amazon Music is now included with a Prime subscription? Must admit that's turning into a hell of a compelling subscription.

Cheeky beggars have sent me a renewal invoice for Apple Music even though it's clearly turned off in the manage subscriptions area. It's dated for 9th August so I'll see what happens on that date.

Just signed up for the family sub for me and the GF, we intend to play more music around the house plus it will save the hassle of keep a USB stick up to date in the car.

One thing I am disappointed in though is that she can't see "My Music" list and vice versa, and that also Smart Playlists can't be shared.

I'm really impressed with this.. I signed up for the trial expecting to just cancel at the end of it but I love it and will definitely be continuing the sub. I've listened to more music in thee past few weeks that I have in a very long time and discovered stuff that I would normally not have listened to.

Think I'm going to sub too. I do like Spotify but the intergration with Siri is awesome in the car. Simply saying "play the chemical brothers latest album" will go off to Apple Music and play it

Does anyone know if apple music will use your itunes gift card balance as payment? You can get a discount on these cards quite regularly, so it would be pretty cool if you can use them.
