Apple PDA?

Apple Newton?

Anyone heard or read anything concrete about this?

It seems like a logical next step for Apple, to fill the gap between the iPhone, iTouch and Macbook.

PDAs are in a massive decline at the moment - everyone that wants one is buying something with a phone built in (blackberry, anything by HTC, Treo etc). I thus don't see a move into a market that is shrinking and shrinking as a good move. Considering how, historically, conservative Apple are at moving into new markets, I can't see this happening.

Don't think there's any gap to fill - they want everyone on juicy iPhone contracts!

Nope, as said by wush, no gap to fill, Iphone functions like a PDA so theirs not much reason to reinvent the newton.

, it's a phone with a web browser that's a little bit nicer than what's been available previously. It's not a PDA by any stretch of the imagination.
