Apple Security Check?

Ordered an iPhone 4S last night directly from Apple and just had a call from a number that begins +353 (Ireland?) asking a few security questions to confirm my purchase.

Is this legitimate? Does this normally happen?

They asked me to confirm: Address, the bank of my credit card and which exactly product I purchased.

Not heard of it happening before but doesnt sound like they have asked for anything scammish. Does happen with other companies so wouldnt be too surprised.

Agree with this and the information you provided really couldn't be used for much at all

Apple uses call centres in ireland so it should be fine

Thanks guys. I did order it last night and at the end of the call, she said you'll get a confirmation email for the order in the next few hours... Low and behold
