Right, could i use Apple tv to......

Stream my itunes collection around my house using airport express and iphone to control it?
Will it read from a usb hard drive?
Will my macbook be able to access the itunes library on the ATV as if it was stored locally?
Finally, is there a way to gain access to the usb hard drive to store files, say like mapped drive access?

I know of 1 such way, but it's expensive..

Drobo + Droboshare + iTunes server app.

I'm sure there are other ways, but I wouldn't be too bothered about leaving a Mini with no monitor on standby in a cupboard.

Pretty much any consumer NAS comes with an itunes server these days. I assume they'll all be compatible...(if not that's a gaping hole in the market)

...but if that'll work for video I don't know.
