What apps you have to make it more appealing.
I went for a bike ride yesterday, used the built in workout for tracking, with the built in GPS, it meant I didn't have to take my phone with me. It gives me a reasonably accurate heart rate reading as well for the entire ride.
Today, I've been texting my wife using it, with the built in speech to text function.
I've had emails and texts in that I've been able to triage using the watch, let me know if anything important needs to be dealt with straight away.
I had a find my friends alert set so that when Mrs. Feek was getting close to home, I could have the kettle on and ready for her.
I try and make sure I close the exercise rings on a daily basis.
When I'm heading to the Ross Revenge, I generally use a tides app so I can see if the water will be over the Strood or just to make sure the tender isn't scheduled for right on low water.
I use the countdown timer regularly, normally setting it with Siri.
Dark Sky is fantastic for weather alerts. Myself and Mark were in the office earlier this year, my watch pinged and it popped up and said "heavy snow in two minutes". We laughed. Two minutes later, it started snowing.
it's just always there as an extension to my phone. Most of the time, I don't bother carrying my phone around with me at home. If the phone rings, I can answer it on the watch - It's not ideal but it works.
The above is after just a few seconds thought.
I originally bought the first watch shortly after launch, wore it for a week and then took it off. I decided that if I didn't miss it, then I'd return it. I didn't miss it so I returned it. A few months later when the next major upgrade of WatchOS came out, I bought another and within a week, I knew I'd keep it. I then upgraded to a series 2 on launch day.
I've just got the basic black sports watch with a nylon strap. If I lost or broke it, I'd replace it the next day.
