I suppose you're right but it's easier than you think to damage your Macbook, even at home! I guess I see it from the other side on both accounts (insurance claims and AASP) so I only see the careless people haha. The amount of people who 'didn't spill anything' when we tell them they have liquid inside their unit is mental lol.

I'd argue that Insurance excesses on average are a lot more than the APC+ excess though :)
 
I normally purchase AppleCare for my iPhone and MacBook everything else like AirPods, iPads I’m not bothered about covering.

I’m about to get AppleCare for my 17pro, just unsure if it’s worth going for the extra theft and loss.

It’s a big outlay but I guess it’s peace of mind for the next 2 years. And no I don’t have any other insurance that covers phone protection.
 
Looking to buy AppleCare for my new MacBook Pro.

Issue is I am emigrating to America in the next few months. If I buy AppleCare in the UK will it transfer to the US?
