*** Apple's 9/9/9 Media Event ***

There is no such thing as coincidence in the brain of a mac fan boy....and I should know I am one!

My guess will be something to do with The Beatles, new iPod lineup and iTunes 9

my mates going to hong kong on thursday.

He's hoping to get his hands on the new touch. It's supposed to have a camera and mic. If the price is right he's bringing me one back :D

I know nothing of these things but apparently the number 9 had a great significance for them, Beatles Rock Band is being released tomorrow, and the CD remasters, I'd say it has some weight.

Edit: *shrug*

With the rerelease of their albums AND the Rock Band Game its clear that Beatles will come to iTunes, and of course I really think they'll use this date to release version 9.

iPods (with cameras) is almost a dead cert. Other than that, I'll just be glad to see Steve Jobs make an appearance!

I shall take my SJ doll to bed with me tonight and hold him tight with hope.

:D

Is iTunes a Carbon application?

It'd be nice if they did a major rewrite ans overhauled the UI a bit while they were at it.

100% agreed even though I practically moved to OSX with a new macbook purchase because the app in Windows was a pathetic joke. The mac version is pretty nippy by comparison.

A lot of people. And it would be a major step forward for Apple having The Beatles back catalogue of music appearing on iTunes for download before anyone else, especially considering the legal history between the two.

Guess this would also tie in with the release of the remastered
beatles back catalogue that has just been completed.

I think its brilliant that every time the apple store goes down Apple geeks everywhere get so excited.

Its clever how they have turned something negative into a buzz generator to bring new products into the market place.

I mean lets face it, adding products to the website and changing things can be done nearly instantly, with the site being tested offline.
