Well, according to Apple, it's compulsory to cut the box up. If they had suggested that I could just peel it off, I wouldn't have created this thread in the first place

Did you apply for the same offer? If so, how long did it take for Apple to refund you the money?

Where does it say that? I just peeled the stickers off and stuck them to the back of the piece of paper that I printed the form on. They have processed my application, and said that I will be getting the rebate, so just waiting for the money to go in to my account!

So long as you don't photocopy the sticker it'll be fine.

Their priority is obtaining the original sticker.

Are we talking about the cardboard outer box that the MBP is shipped in; as in the BROWN one? If so.. cut the box up you crazy fool!

When it comes to re-selling just get a box made, or sell it in the normal MBP box.

I know I wouldn't be put off buying a MBP on the sole fact that it didn't have the original brown packaging!

I'm unable to give you the link to the specific page as it's part of the registration process however here's a similar page on Apple's website (if you ignore the UPC part as it's now called EAN).

Since you've said your rebate has been processed, I'll peel the label off and send it tomorrow
