Applications have no sound but windows does

If I click on the volume slider in windows I can hear sound and change device between my speakers and my tv. But in Spotify and edge (fb and YouTube) and steam I don’t get any sound.

The volume mixer has all applications at the same volume as the master volume and definitely not muted.

It was working fine last night and for the preceding 3 years what on earth have I done to cause this. I haven’t fiddled with drivers or anything.

Do you have any additional app like EarTrumpet installed?

I've used this for years now to let me change volume for specific apps or switch apps to using the monitor speakers if needed.

Sounds like something weird with Edge itself maybe. Have you tried another browser just to see if it works? Might be worth installing EarTrumpet to see if that shows Edge volume is set to 0
