the amount of DS' sold, must be such a high DS to household ratio in Japan and USA, need to get one myself when I get paid!

lets not forget the ps3 we get in the uk is crippled smaller hd and less able to play ps2 games and more expensive , and they wonder why it isn't selling

Last time i saw figures Europe is the one place the PS3 is doing well! Anyway its more expensive than the rest of the world but so is the Wii and the 360, also what smaller HD? I dont think the next gen has started yet, when GTA4, Halo 3 and some of the Sony Games are realesed in the autumn think the picture will start to change.

I'm not suprised about those sales figures tbh, a true gamer does'nt really care about graphics, I brought a Game Cube and Super Monkey Ball today

, I own a 360 and used to own a PS3, I can honestly say I'm having more fun on my Game Cube atm, first time I've played Super Monkey Ball, fantastic game really is.

It justified getting a gamecube at launch for myself

utter crap... I class myself as a true gamer (when I get the time) and I'm also a graphics hoar. I just love the advancement of technology and games - the Wii is selling purely on hype at the moment, and IMO it's a fad which will definately fade given about a year. The fact that Nintendo are expanding the market is the very problem which will come back to bite them in the ass, when all the old grannies who think it's such fun and the must have new thing put in into the cupboard under the stairs alongside their breadmaker and slow cooker.

I got caught up in the Wii hype myself and thought "ooh I must get one iot looks such fun" and it was fun for about two weeks but then the novalty wore off and I remembered I dont actually like most of Nintendo's IP's! I still cuss myself for following the flocks!!!

I think it's a bit early to be predicting a winner tbh. You would probably have been forgiven for thinking the Dreamcast was gonna win last gen after only a month or two into the PS2's UK launch?

I don't really care who wins out of MS and Sony and actually think it will be good for the gamers if they have an equal market share - the best thing for Nintendo is for them just to stay out of my way and I will stay out of theirs!

if you think that competition is such a good thing then having nintendo around is surely a great thing as it brings something different to the market and will let the other too concentrate on who can make the main characters boobies look the best

Amen brother. That sums up how I feel about the Wii. Regret buying one really, might give it to my sister.

MS is making lots of money, Sony is losing, I suggest you take a read of the facts before jumping the gun as usual

MS has consoles in homes, Sony does not, if Sony does not start shifting PS3's and quickly then developers will shunt it down the list of things to do with it, maybe even see some stop supporting it, and we all know thats how the Dreamcast got owned, so really I would worry less about MS than Sony at this time, as MS has the market share and the games to make people buy.

woooooo chill out mate, people really do get worked up in here sometimes, call my post crap all day mate It ain't gonna change my opinion, not atm anyway, you only have to look at those sales figures to see people in generule (not you as your special needs

) care more about gameplay than graphics, I'm not saying they don't care about graphcs at all but atm ps2/wii type graphics are definitly more than acceptible for a majority of people, I have many friends with a ps2 and are not changing any time soon, they just don't buy into all this hd crap tbh, it's hard on here to get a genarule consensus on this type of subject though really as most of us on here are more into the whole high end tech gadget side of things,

saying that though would be intresting to see what people would vote for,

Sony Made $590million + this year in profit, thats a fact. Less than last year due to the PS3 and the laptop battery recall, but Sony Stocks highest for 5 years.
