high dynamic range i believe. its where you take the same image 3 times at different exposures and then lay them over each other in photoshop.

hope i got this right. please correct if not

if you look in cykeys sig you will see an excellent guide for hdr.

Very nice. I think the only comment i could make is that in number 1 i really feel like it's cropped just too close to the trees at the bottom. A little more space needed in my opinion. Did you use any ND Grads? I cant believe how dark the sky goes!

They are all superb - the HDR treatment gives #1 and #2 an extra 'wow' factor for me.

Yes, did use an ND grad, 4 (or 3?) stop soft. Lens was 10-20 Sigma. Three bracketted shots, each 2 stops apart for the HDR. The mono processing was using a gradiant map for the mono and a hue/sat layer to amend the tones. The colour shots are done in Photomatix with minor tweaks in PS.

What filter system do you use with the Sigma? I am thinking of buying this lens but don't know which Cokin (or other) filter system would be suitable.

Coklin P with wide angle holder. BUT the holder creeps into the edge of the frame at 10 & 11mm. Aparently hack sawing off the last slots of the holder stops it from creeping into the frame. Will try it this w/e

The X series and lee filter holders are OK apparently. Expensive tho.
