Arc Intakes and Induction Systems

They are Japanese, popular over there so must have some merit. I've always wondered the theory behind their intake chambers, seem a bit odd.
 
Aren't these the guys that make their air boxes from aluminium? How can that work in a hot engine bay?

Get an enclosed filter.

id always buy Apex'i Power intakes tbh. plus make a bit of heatsheidling/add intake induction and imo its the best price/performance/engine protection filtering package you can get?
 
Yeah Apex'i do great stuff. tbh i think the only reason you would use this arc kits is for track and race spec stuff because of how much they are....
 
Ive never used any Arc stuff but they are very well known in Japan and supposed to be very good quality but the prices are pretty frightening.
 
i've got an ARC on my mr2

its well made, removes the standard 2 box setup but still only get air from the side vent. it's cold to the touch after a blast and idling for 5-10 minutes even though its ally. any rx7 panel filter fit, so no need to get filters from ARC.

the only downside is the cost...

Ive had ARC boxes before..

Look good, but didnt do much.

Depends on the car mind. The panel filter was far better than the ARC box, whihc done the job, but was a pricey bit of engine bling.
