A quick example from today where you should be wary of the sound you make, even when crouched. I got the drop on a guy earlier and yelled friendly? With no response. I suspected that he would be following me to the extract so I laid in wait just outside of it for a battle there to calm down and the winner extract. I hear the guy creeping up on me. The audio is insane, tracked this guy almost precisely as he approached.

FYI you can switch your shoulder view.
You and neo need to duo up then try out backstabbing each other.
I've mapped shoulder swap to mouse thumb button and constantly switch between. Essential tbh!

Once you hit lvl 15, it opens up the trials (essentially one of those 100 rank season pass types of things you get in other games), lots of nice things that you can even do to grind or better still just do within your normal gameplay and get some loot and cosmetics for free from
what rotten luck I’m having this evening. Needed lemons for Scrappy so I tried the blue gate area and just got attacked relentlessly. If you take on any arc 2 appear from space. Also a lot of muggers on too

You're probably attacking the ARC Snitches, which are the small circular ones that do not have any guns. When their "search beam" goes red, you have a few seconds before it calls for backup, you'll see an orange laser shoot out of the top of it when it does. If you kill if before that happens, it won't call for backup. Only takes 2 or 3 shots from something that uses heavy ammo.
AFAIK other ARC types do not call down backup from the sky, but nearby ARC may be alerted by the noise of you shooting.
Its got some issues on the matchmaking this evening, population is highest its been, its broken 350k concurrent now but seems to be a technical issue with the matchmaking
They became aware of server / matchmaking / voice and party chat issues at 19:00CET this evening and are working on it at the moment, there has been several announcements on the official Discord channel this evening. It might well be volume of players but tbh It sounds more like an actual server issue than just capacity related.

Yeah the glitches started appearing in past hour or so, been excellent till now. I restarted the game as I couldn't leave a group and now I am in a queue.
