Got to say, I vastly prefer it over Tarkov, but it depends upon the sort of extraction shooter you like, Tarkov is a touch more milsim-y, which is fine if thats your leaning but I prefer the more in and out, slightly more arcadey fun of Arc Raiders over the milsim-y Tarkov (incidently its also the reason I much prefer Hunt Showdown over Tarkov)
 
Watching streams of this today, it looks alright which is saying a lot because I really don't like extraction shooter, I feel like i'd just get constantly gunned down before extracting and wasting my time. Can anyone play in the stress test even if you preorder the game once it's started, I heard different things like you can only get into the stress test if you were in the previous betas or something.

What is it actually like to play, it looks slick, the PvE elements looks kinda insane, some of the drones look tough as hell.

I knew of the game but stayed away from the hype.

Anyone can do the stress test, dont need to preorder and dont need to have been in previous tests.

Its very easy in Arc Raiders to get in, grab loot and extract without ever encountering another player, in fact you can get in, fill your loot bag and get out in under 10mins if you so choose. Some of the PvE enemies are huge, there are ones which are 40ft high etc, huge raid types of mobs. Gunplay is good, the audio is just amazing, its the atmosphere and audio sfx which really make the game. Theres hardly any scoped weapons at all, so no being sniped from a mile away and wondering who the dickens it was, hell...you can even rez players who arent in your squad (not that I would) :D

If you want to board the hype train, watch this. ;)

I wouldnt say its different or innovating (aside from a few QoL things, like being able to rez other players, having unlimited access to a "scav" run rather than time limited, not having mandatory season wipes etc) , what it is though, is a whole lot of fun. Sometimes I dont need that new rollercoaster to be innovating, I just need it to be fun :)

I would be allover this if there was a pve only option.
SPT and Incursion Red River along with Grayzone Warfare are my go to games if i want extraction style gameplay but im not into pvp extraction.
But it does look a special game that i will try for sure this weekend.

Are people crashing? Mines been stable, having said that its often the case in games where people are crashing mine doesnt, no idea why.
