Been watching a few videos on the tube of this game, did have a quick go when it was open beta before release but looter shooters are not for me, saying that, after watching some of the videos i sooooo wish i liked these sort of games.

Some of the interactions between players etc are funny as hell, if you like these type of games i can see why this might be one of the best, it looks like it could be a blast!

I’m tempted to get this. I guess if you don’t take it too seriously and just try to have fun, it seems a good time sink.
My advice would be to do that, dont take it seriously and accept that you will die and lose pixels but that they're only pixels, and also do your research on the game before buying, absolute credit to @syks because rather than banging on that the game is crap and will be dead in a month (as some people on the Steam forums have been), he can see that it actually is good but is just not a title for him.

Absolutely as Tombstone said. Research if an extraction shooter or any game that can take away your loot after spending 30 minutes collecting it is your type of game.
There's many frustrations, but also amazing aspects with this style of game and even at times it can be annoying, but the style, the lore and the whole aesthetic is really, really good and I'm very intrigued to see where it goes in the future. Watch more videos and if you can play with some buddies who will help with gear and orientation as there's many things to learn. (I've played about 45 hours and feel like I've only scratched the surface).

It can be had for about £24-25 and that's great value in my eyes, especially when you compare it to BF6 which I've not been a fan of tbh.

I changed my play style tonight loading in on the free loader loadouts and just having fun solo'ing it and finding bits to get scrappy upgraded. It was loads of fun and wasn't as intense as some other play through, if I died it didnt matter, I was freeloading :D

So much different to other play through I have had with duo/triples

And that's the beauty of this game, just how versatile it is. Quite possibly up there with all time favourite

Most of my plays have been free loader. I think when I go in with something decent I go in with too much confidence and throw it all away.

But I've only been playing a couple of days. Having a blast.

Stella Montis at 44%!

A tip for a little extra XP. When extracting, if you are with another random player. As soon as you have loaded the station to extract, pull your gun out and shoot the other player. Even if they go down they wont loose anything whilst they extract and you will gain some XP for causing damage to raider upon extraction.

How many players are there per server in this game? It looks like fun. The last game I played was Helldivers, is it similar ?
21 people on a map in 30min rounds but new players can enter as current players extract, upto a certain time point, so a map in total is probably closer to 30 different players. The major difference between this and Helldivers is that Helldivers is a co-op pve shooter where you dont lose your gear on death and (theoretically) other players cant kill you, whereas this is a PvPvE extraction shooter where you do lose your gear on death and other players can and will kill you

New AMD drivers with ARC Raiders support. Might stop crashes for those on AMD.

Yeah, always be wary when someone charges towards you using the in game gesture "don't shoot" :D

Stella Montis just opened up. That took a day to complete the access pre-requisite mission. :D

You need to have done 24 runs topside (on any map) before you can head into the new map.
Raiders!
The tunnels have finally reached Stella Montis, and that victory belongs to every one of you. Every vital piece of salvage you've hauled back to Speranza, every run completed, every risk taken brought us to this moment. Thank you.
Because this ground holds unknown dangers and new secrets, the first wave through the breach will be led by our more seasoned Raiders—those who know how to read the wind, and improvise when plans fall apart. They’ll test the traps and carve a safe way forward. New raiders will need to reach 24 runs in other areas Topside first to gather some experience before they can catch the tube to Stella Montis.See you Topside raiders.
Bring your grit and tread carefully.
