Could well be, I always run a rank 4 Stitcher because its the best pvp gun for me, with a big mag on it , I've absolutely destroyed people with it even after letting them have the first few shots, so it fits my playstyle, although as I say, I hardly have any pvp fights, only 1 fight in the last 4 days (over 20 hours of play), all the rest of the encounters have been friendly.Truth is I dont think anyone knows quite how they matchmake but it could just be the value of your inventory total, stitcher is common and cheap, but like a rank 4 epic gun is worth a lot more. This has reliably been my experience, I always start every day off with a free kit until my brain has woken up before I take something good. By the time I'm taking fully kitted rares or epics everyone is out for blood, and they tend to be carrying way better inventories. You can tell when you loot what you're up against because of the types of augments you find on the bodies, you know if you're in a "free kit lobby" because maybe 80% give or take, all run free kits.
My feel since launch is that about 50% of the free kit lobbies are people questing, no one wants to waste good kit when you're distracted with a MSQ.

The basic idea of the game, as with all online shooters, is to have fun.So what is the basic idea of this game?
I've run about 5-6 "raids?" and died all times except two where I just scavanged some stuff and went straight to the evelator and escaped.
Is it just to loot stuff to buy better weapons/gear etc?
How do you play as a team or do you need to invite your steam friends?
Is it normal that I absolutely suck and seem to die to the most basic of flying drones? Even that heavy weapon (wahtever it is single shot starter weapon) it seems to you need to hit them 3 times?

Yup, its a theme in this thread, some people are getting shot a lot, I've almost 100 hours played now and I go days with only friendly encounters. I dont know why it is, I have no explanation, I am either the luckiest person alive or I am in some way fundamentally playing the game in a different way to other people but no idea how, I'm just playing normally imo.Mate I dunno where you are playing but my first few games withteh basic free loot and everyone is shooting me I died loads of times to real players.
Has anyone managed to get their mic to work in-game when using GeForce Now?
I can hear my team mates but they can’t hear me.
Might need to look in windows sound settings and see what its trying to use as your microphone.
Otherwise if you are playing with mates id probably just jump on a discord channel.
Mic?I neglected to say that I’m using macOS, but all of the OS settings are correct.
Was just wondering if it’s a limitation of GFN or if I’ve missed a setting somewhere.

Thats my favourite combo, stitcher 4 with either of a rank 3 anvil or renegade. Most people are dead before the first stitcher mag is emptyAnvil and stitcher for the win?

and I usually get shot in the back of the head when calling for lift/train or quest thing. But we'll see who shoots who in the front/back/side of the head once I have uber shield muhahah- I died again.
Depends what I'm doing but mostly Venator and Toro at the moment for me. If we're more focused on killing big arcs then I'll swap the Toro for an Anvil but most of our squad games descend into 300 raiders having a fight over the same patch.Anvil and stitcher for the win?
Great stuff thanks21 people on a map in 30min rounds but new players can enter as current players extract, upto a certain time point, so a map in total is probably closer to 30 different players. The major difference between this and Helldivers is that Helldivers is a co-op pve shooter where you dont lose your gear on death and (theoretically) other players cant kill you, whereas this is a PvPvE extraction shooter where you do lose your gear on death and other players can and will kill you

Inventory management is a real pain using a controller / navigating menus. M&KB is definitely the way to go.Just bought this for pc instead of the ps5 pro, enjoying it so far. I feel like the looting really lends itself to m&kb over controller.
Even a medium or heavy shield doesn't make much difference. If someone decides to ambush you with a Venator tier 4 you're dead in 2 shots to the head regardless of the gear you're wearing. But we'll see who shoots who in the front/back/side of the head once I have uber shield muhahah- I died again.
