Arc Raiders

Its 21 people per map, with more spawning in as people exit or are killed (for the first 15mins of a round)

Ahh ok, so in thoery if you waited towards teh end you could end up being the last man standing.

Although I guess there are less exits as they close so more risk trying to get out on fewer remaining.

Im loving this game now got my RL mate playing it so we have been playing a bunch of duos this morning.

He had to go for a bit played 3 solos all good, started with a free loadout to save my better stuff, on the last one someone tried to ambush me at the exit, but it backfired as I killed him lol.

Having a good time playing this, tend to win most gun fights so far, waiting for my luck to change.. :p

Yea the PvP isn't that hard and people are dumb.

I play a lot of PUBG though so whilst it's not quite the same, there are a lot of transferable skills, mainly positioning, point and click as well I guess.

I'm level 26 still haven't been to the buried city and visited stella months once. Still thoroughly enjoying playing solo. Tried to kill a bombardier with a deadline mine it didn't end well.

Stella Montis is a maze and an absolute death trap. I'm sure it will get easier when I'm used to the map, but so far i've spent most of my time lost and fleeing arc or raiders.

Its completely different to all the other maps since it's mostly indoors/underground.

Had a few games but not anything in earnest, relatively chill so far. As an ex tarkov player I appreciate the change of pace and less sweaty nature of the game. As I get older I move further away from wanting to spend time on those games.

Its certainly very labyrinthine (of all the maps its the one which feels most Division-like to me) , and it highlights all the more, the importance of a really good pair of headphones, something which is already an important thing in the game. A really good pair of headphones can make all the difference in discerning if the noises you are hearing are above you, below you, next to you etc

Yup same for PUBG. I used a pair of wired AKG K702 headphones through an external sound card/dac.

As you say so important.

I gotta say the sound in this game is very good, it's really easy to hear people from pretty far away.

I have played a lot of Helldivers 2 as well as a lot of the division 1+2

do you guys reckon I will get on with this?

thanks
My advice is to research with some youtube videos, this is more pvp focused than Helldivers and Division and when you die in this you lose everything (weapons included) that you were carrying, so you can potentially lose everything you just spent half an hour collecting. So be aware of what you're buying before buying.

thanks. this is the thing which worries me. visually it looks great but I really don't do PvP. I guess maybe I will give a swerve for now and wait and see if my other gaming mates buy it or alternatively pick up in a sale

Some good loot runs on Dam, with the last round being caught out by "Reuben" who did the classic "Don't shoot", then followed me and then blasted me with his lv 1 Rattler. Hope he enjoys the loot.... the little ****. :D
Also, only time I ventured onto Spaceport to get a Leaper part I got downed by someone who'd booby trapped the extract (check for additional grenade looking traps below or around the button), they were watching me from afar, then ran up and shot me. Luckily I had the Leaper parts I needed in my safe pocket.
Couple of times had very close calls with the extract doors and had to slide in, but was fun overall.

I've not come across any of those shenanigans as of yet, all the ones that I have come across said don't shoot or hey raider are busy gathering resources or questing. It's the silent ones that get me, sneaky buggers. Usually when I've just breached a container of sorts, don't stand a chance. One also shot me at the train terminal but luckily it didn't down me.

Reading previous posts about whether or not someone is on the fence about buying it, just buy it. I'm not great at PvP, never have been, but in this it adds an edge, keeps you focused and punishes you if for a second you take your eyes off the ball.

I really didn't think I'd like it, but it really has got under my skin!
