Arc Raiders

For those that fight the queen and matriarch what weapons do you use?

I cannot grab anything legendary and the best thing I can craft is the hullcracker but I just buy that from the trader.
As above what Distracted said really - I've often joined friendly servers as I mainly play PvE and helped out but yes getting to the cores is hard if there are a lot of people fighting her as its all vacuumed up in no time usually but you can get lucky - I've had people drop me cores as they didn't need them!

Usually my go to loadout these days for anything is just a Anvil IV with Silencer II on it and lots of heavy ammo. Helps to have some revives and plenty of shield chargers / bandages to hand.

Hullcracker is easiest as you can buy it/ammo just for credits.

You can do a lot of damage but you need to bring a lot of ammo, I spent 100k for ammo this morning for those two rounds.

Apparently the fancy sniper rifle (Jupiter) is better and does more damage.

Actually once you have the blueprint Wolfpacks are pretty cheap to make, you just gotta farm a lot of oil, but you can get **** tons of it in the industrial areas, I find Dam is good, plus loads of stuff recycles into oil as well.

I got like 60 units of oil in a couple of runs if you are focusing it.

Then just the arc alloy for the motion cores (or just find them), again very common.

I'm absolutely hooked on this game. I've had so many nice encounters. Bumped into an Indian guy on Burried city he just dropped me an Aphelion blueprint because he wanted to. I didn't have much to give in return and he didn't want anything but I gave him the snap hook I loaded in with.

Solo, I am all PvE and carry lots of defibs and if I hear people getting blasted I come help. I've still been shot in the back a few times too. When I needed the queen/matriarch cells for the display cabinet I used hullcracker with loads of ammo. One time I went too early to get the loot and got blasted by a leftover bombardier. Someone rez'd me with a defib and we carried on looting so I did what I always do when someone helps, blasted them jokes. I gave them one of the cells as thanks for rez'ing me.

Duos and Trios it's all PvP and I suck at it and it's always about a 5:1 ratio of death vs kills. Been learning how to use the snap hook but failing miserably on that so far.

I've mainly stuck to solo and most of the time its all fine and have no issues.

The odd time I do get killed by players but its not often enough and the stuff I loose I can just buy from traders again so its no major issue

Apparently ABMM has been reset, can anyone corroborate this?

Unrelated but I've been having loads of fun smashing shredders in stella with the hullcracker, two shots to the thrusters and they go boom. very satisfying.

I think it was reset when the last update came out and made the changes for multiplayer.

As I was doing the 7 new quests when this came out I was just running free loadouts and if someone killed me it didn't matter.

I now normally run an Anvil, hullcracker as again if I die I can just buy new 1s from the traders so its no loss to me

I'm interested in trying this game but I've always been terrible in shooting games. Anybody else in same boat but having fun playing, I'm mostly interested in playing as solo.

I'm 47, a bit slow in the reactions but I love Arc Raiders because it's a great game anyway whether you PvE or PvP. If you don't shoot people all the time then you will end up in friendly lobbies where most people are nice, help and leave you alone to fight against arcs.

Im also in my mind 40s and don't have hunger for PvP, mainly pve. Sounds promising that matching puts you in lobbies according to your aggression, will look at some YouTube videos and see if there is examples of it. Thanks for your input

I enjoy cod and battlefield but I'm definitely in the bottom 50% skill wise and I love Arc.

For those hunting the rare ducks Embark have announced they've increased the availability of Bird City, no patch, just need to restart the client for it to update the map condition schedule.

You 100% will get into friendly lobbies if you don't go round shooting people. It will take a couple of games for the matchmaking to do it's thing, so just run a few rounds with a free loadout whilst only looting and not shooting any players.

However, even in friendly lobbies you will 100% have occasions where you will run into a COD player who is foaming at the mouth to kill you as quick as possible, its just part of the game.

Sweats just abuse the matchmaking algorithm, they will either play a few games without shooting anyone or spawn/surrender and repeat a few times on free loadouts. Get into "friendly" lobbies then run around trying to get world record kill numbers. It is what it is.

Games last coupla days have been superb

Games last night there was ARC strewn all over the place, haev they increased the spawn rate?

I keep killing the beasts with trigger nades from the rooftops, and by the time I get down to loot everything is gone!!!

We killed the matriarch last night, pretty much only the two of us. Got down and the whole lobby had it looted:/
