Arc Raiders

damn it. I need a time out I think. twice I went for the wasp challenge . and twice I managed to get myself taken out by arc. am out of snitch scanners now and high end gear.
I guess I will just have to hope the 26k across the 5 challenges I have already will be enough to get me promoted 1 division to get the skin

i got taken out by a rocketeer whilst holding a bunch of good loot, but luckily had already pressed the lift button, so managed to get out with the rocketeer guarding my body!! It made me think i just need to engage the big arcs next to a lift...if i die just pop off back to speranza

I don't have the blueprint for it but one of the looting backpacks have rejuvenation on for when you go down. all you have to do is keep still and your bleed out time increases. this is massive imo and saved me a few times. unfortunately I lost it when a rat killed me, and I can't craft a replacement

Fantastic augment. Just make sure you know where the last extract is, so that if and when you get downed you know where to crawl to and don't end up at a closed one as the bombs drop. Couldn't be me.

That blueprint is rare as rocking horse ****.

Apparently you can....... Just find it randomly, but after 300 or so hours I have not.

Apparently the most reliable way (take reliable with a pinch of salt....) is under the reinforced reception on Blue Gate.

However if you are not there within about 30 seconds of spawning in a fresh map it'll already be looted, let alone factor in the chance of the blueprint actually being there.

My mate found one spare (blueprint) so is giving it to me after I reset, although I do have a couple of the augments knocking around.

It did actually save me the other day, I got knocked on Spaceport right the middle under the towers, two bloody Hornets.

There was 17 minutes left and I might...... have been able to make it but someone came up and revived me. I would have 100% been dead already though otherwise.

Otherwise, it's only marginally better than Looting MK2. In fact by all means, Looting MK2 is a bloody good augment, I think if you factor in the augmentee trinket slots you almost (I think there is literally 1 in it) have as many Looting spots as the MK3 survivor.

Yes you can run a medium shield on the MK3, but I basically don't bother, I don't think the movement penalty is worth it, even with the corresponding skill at level 5.

Had probably one of the best gaming moments I can remember. Accidentally ended up on pvp lobbies.

So decided to do Stella night raid on free kits to do some pvp'n for a change. I open ip a crate as coming out of spawn and grab a apphelion blue print. Goes to immediatly extract, shredder at the extract, team mate decides to sacrifice himself trying to kill it next to the bastion and dies but lures him away. I didn't realise the ectract was closed, back up to take on the shredder and hornet. Tried to find my way to extract, with no ammo or heals barely makes it fighting shreeders etc on the way. Die trying to jump and rope down to avoid some raiders . Some guy heals me to get to extract, then 8 folk arguing wether im good enough to defib. Finally defib and 2 guys run round and blows everyone up, bar me in the mix of it. Pretty much solo extract wirh a few other now downed.

Games absolutely cinema.

What map are you running this trail on? I ran it on Dam Battleground - Electrical storm. Managed just over 30k with my duo.

Not sure if you know, but you can open the probes that are led on their sides. No issue with them flying off. Go in with 30odd stims and run round the entire map.

Ok, so, it seems the probes spawn rate is signifcantly higher on electrical storm. Got just over 28k, that'll do.

Cheers for the tip.

Was pretty tense at the end, kinda left it to the absolute limit on time, only just made it in had half the map worth or arc chasing me and a leaper at the exit.

how do you guys find randoms in this? if I go into ab electrical storm and select party full and just do my own thing hoping I get lucky that others are also doing the challenges does that tend to work or will It just pee off my team mates for doing my own thing.

also if 2 randoms go on a killing spree will I get judged by the matchmaking regardless of if I shoot anyone or not?

Went on with my duo mate to do damage matriarch trial. Spawned miles from it and by time we got there 3 teams were camping different sides. Not actually shooting the matriarch just waiting to rat people coming to shoot it. My mate died but i managed to escape with my lv4 hullcracker -_-. Like why, just go do PVP somewhere if that's how you want to fight.

What are you guys up to on matriarch/queen damage,?
This is a tricky one. You literally cant get into a match without a high percentage of players who are also running the challenge. I believe the matriarch has higher HP than the queen.

We both snap hooked up on to the top of the Matriarch, shot the cover off to expose the core, both laid two deadline mines each on the core. We came out with a score of 13k! We were hoping for more than that but that was our best run. We did other runs with hull crackers, but couldn't get over 8k!

I'm gonna give the game a rest when this season ends, will pick it back up in the future if/when more Arc are added. I've overplayed the game for the last few months :(

hahah fair enough.

13k is a good score I got just over 6k.

It's literally dying too fast.

Still noobing my way around in this solo despite being level 29 now. Almost killed my first leaper yesterday. I was trying to do the quest where you have to return the badge from Victory Ridge. Was spawning in on the very south part of the map every time so was just murdering some Arc to try and get my score up to unlock the augment blueprint reward then extracting. Finally spawned in at the apartments, made my way to the ridge, did the quest, headed home and thought I'd look in the domes on the way. While inside the largest one heard a leaper outside. Starting stripping its leg armour off with my L2 Ferro while standing in the doorway as it couldn't reach me. Easy. Knocked it down to only two legs left on it and the daft thing squeezed through the door and was terrorising me inside. Took another leg off after a few heals but it still managed to jump me while I was trapped behind something and I died. How do you kill them? Do you shoot the eye?
Had the badge in my safe pocket to return to Celeste and did enough damage to unlock the blueprint so still successful run but disappointed not to have been able to finish it off.

how on earth did a 1 legged leaper get you?. but yeah if you run out of nades shooting on the eye should sort it .
leapers are deadly in the open , as are bastions however if you get in cover they are easy.

rocketeers and bombadiers OTOH are still deadly.
god damn poppers are probably my biggest nemesis however

Jumped on me! I was backing off from it and ran out of room. :o

Tried taking out a rocketeer a few times with zero luck, even with decent cover the splash damage from the rockets covers such a wide area.

Definitely pick your cover when fighting rocketeers. For bastions and bombardiers the courtyard on buried city with the exit down a hole is a good place to engage, throw 3/4 trigger nades when they're right below you (when on roof) then explode all at once
