Yeah, Neon Bible was such a disappointment. I listened to Funeral on rotation for a couple of months, and I think I only played Neon Bible a couple of times before some better albums came along.

NME have given The Suburbs a 9/10, but I can't say I particularly value their opinion.

Heard the latest single (didn't catch the name but from the sound and feel of the song it was definitely Arcade Fire) on the radio yesterday and wasn't really impressed by it, it just seemed a bit bland.

Half Light 1 is the standout track for me, fantastic to listen to, more to the mold of Funeral.

I guess the album sits somewhat between Funeral and Neon bible, quite enjoy it, not a straight out belter like Funeral but grows on me more every listen through.

I'd give it a 9/10, Funeral being a 10.

The way the first two tracks merge together is sick.

Great album. I literally can't stand indie but this is fantastic.

Word eating is in order here, listened to the album a few times and I really like it with "Half Light 1" being my favourite track on the album (I see someone else has also highlighted this track). For me it's not as good as Neon Bible but still a very good listen and I'm glad I got it.

Shame their concert is so expensive in December or I would have been going
