arcade stick

That's a fairly open question but probably something with 360 controller compatibility. It's also going top be dependent on what your price range is.

There's reviews on a number of sticks written by Hoss on Steam which is worth a read:

Edit: Unless I've misunderstood and you mean for general arcade games rather than fighting games specifically ...

I just bought a qanba q4 raf off the bay for £99inc it does xbox 360/pc and ps3, first impressions are great its well built, nice size, uses sanwa buttons and joystick which are top of the range. Use it mainly for mame and retro gaming on pc and raspberry pi set to xbox 360 mode its plug and play.

SEGA Virtua Stick High-Grade is my opinion.

Basically anything with Sanwa/Seimitsu parts - after that lever type/button layout/button model is fairly up to personal preference.

i have a street fighter tournament edition and its pretty good, its also mapped as an xbox controller.

i prefer my hotrod joystick though - has more western happ buttons and joysticks - i did have to buy a controller board to convert it to usb though (was a ps2 passthrough).

x-arcade are ok but use lower quality part afaik. (they can always be replaced).
