Hi,

I am on Virgin Media fibre and get around 380mb speeds.
I run the rubbish Hub in modem mode, with an Archer C9 as router.
I also have x2 Ubiquiti access points (1 upstairs / 1 rear of house)

Will I see any benefit from upgrading the Archer C9?
If yes, what should I upgrade to please?

Thanks

As you have the wireless on dedicated APs there's no obvious advantage.

If the router is only acting as a router what does even the C9 offer over the Virgin hub in router mode with its wireless disabled?

In terms of what you have, it can run NAT at your WAN speed perfectly adequately, so if the question is ‘can I make this faster’ the answer is likely no, not without upgrading your broadband profile with VM. If the question is can I get something better, yes of course, but what do you want it to do that what you have doesn’t already do?

Thanks for the responses.
Sometimes the wifi can go a bit flaky for some users and I have to reboot the Hub & router = it then rectifies and is fine (rinse, repeat).
Wasn't sure if new routers 'do more' than the older ones, with newer tech.

I had nothing but trouble using the Hub.
Online searches showed this is common, as the Hub is not very good generally speaking.

Do you only have wireless on the UniFi APs, or is it also enabled on the C9?

I’d disable all wireless except for the APs. If that requires an additional AP to get full coverage then spend your money on that.
