Hi, finally I'm about to get bt infinity, on the 30th March
Not long ago I bought the archer d7 to replace the home hub for adsl, I'm trying to find out if I can use it with infinity rather than the home hub 5 they will be sending.
I know the archer is an adsl and not vdsl , but it has a ewan port for connecting to fibre modems, but detailed info on this is hard to find, does anyone have any experience or knowledge that can enlighten me.
from what I've read, if the engineer fits a fibre modem, then i can connect my archer via ethernet to the ewan port and will good to go, but apparently they don't fit these modems anymore?
I'd rather not go back to using home hubs again, plus the archer has been great and was not cheap, shame to waist it.
