It's true, you can't really fault them as such. They just merge in nicely with the rest of the generic indie music out there though. Some catchy tracks, but not much more than an average trendy band really.

The real secret gig was on wednesday night in barnsley at the citrus rooms. Pay on the door. Still though, I went last night and it was a magic gig.

Yeah, he's right.

Some nutters were queing from 2PM and they didn't start letting them in till 9PM.

£15 on the door for an hours performance + 7 hours queing in the rain, I decided to get blind drunk instead.

My mate even phoned Nick up and he could only get 2 of us on the guest list

but they havent got what it takes to go the distance with like 10albums or something ...

although i do like them, 5years time.... won't be here

I went through a period where I went off them a little, after the demo material until a few weeks ago .. I was just being stupid and now I realise I was an idiot for not listening to them the whole time through, just got annoyed with all the huge over hype etc :/
Now I realise their music is actually just what I like to listen to and I enjoy them immensly, great band.
Also I went to see them a few months ago and they were a little poop, saw them at Lowlands at the weekend and they were amazing, that restored all faith and eradicated any doubt that they're a good band

It wasn't the real secret gig. The real one was wednesday. The only people who knew about it were the people arctic monkeys wanted to know about it.

They then released information about it on the main website at 4:00pm, in which people had no chance to even get to barnsley in time.

I wouldn't class the london date as a secret gig though.
