ARE 2 BETTER THAN ONE?

hi im just looking for some upgrade advice about hard drives i have a few question that i need help with please,thanks in advance guys

i wont be raid in them in any case mostly for os storage and games

1) would it be better for me to get 2 hard drives say 2 x 500gb or just get one big one 1tb/2tb hard disk?

2)also which one of these disk would you guy recomend

TBH I think you would be better off with one of the drives from here:

If its just for storage of music/pictures etc then one of the WD Green drives might be more ideal.

Otherwise a Samsung F2/F3 would be better for OS/Games because of their speed.

In terms of your question about 2 drives vs 1 drive, if RAID is involved then you can have one drive backup the other automatically (RAID 1) - but you get the storage space of one of the drives not both.
