Are all bricks fireproof?

so does anyone have a link of which type of brick I should use?
yes I think the tandoor will prob reach 500-600C I got myself one of them laser thermometers to test it out etc

brick exploding sounds dangerous
imagine it randomly firing out into a person etc could cause a bad injury.

I think it’s due to the water content in normal cement and bricks - as it heats, the water turns to steam, expanding within the material and cracking it

Yes, but he says bricks around the chimney outside - exposed to the rain etc. You cant use firebricks in such a scenario, usually you will insulate between the hot surface and the outer facing bricks. Without seeing the plans we are just guessing.

Yes I must confess that no tandoor oven I know even has a chimney, lol.
